About the Faculty
The Faculty of Arts is affiliated with Bani Waleed University, which was established by Prime Minister Decree No. 193 of 2015. Although Bani Waleed University is a young independent institution, it possesses deep historical roots as a collection of faculties offering university education across various administrative transitions. The Faculty of Arts serves as the primary nucleus and oldest faculty of Bani Waleed University, established at the start of the 1992–1993 academic year under the name "Faculty of Education" (initially affiliated with Al-Tahaddi University in Sirte). Its affiliation later shifted to Al-Nasser University (1996–1999) under the name "Faculty of Arts and Sciences", before returning to Al-Tahaddi University in 1999–2000. With the establishment of the University of Departments in Bani Waleed in 2000–2001, its affiliation moved to Al-Mergib University until current students graduated. In 2004–2005, the faculty was attached to 7th of October University, then to Al-Zaytouna University in 2012. Finally, in 2015, Bani Waleed University was established from the faculties of Bani Waleed, including the Faculty of Arts, which continues its active role alongside other university faculties in advancing education and supplying society with distinguished generations of graduates.

The goals of the Faculty of Arts extend beyond merely graduating students; its core significance lies in being a hub for research, qualification, community service, and supplying society with qualified scientific and technical cadres. Education is no longer a set of rigid courses a student must complete, but a continuous and renewed offering of knowledge.
Within this framework, the Faculty of Arts aspires to build partnership bridges with diverse societal institutions, balancing societal demands for graduates on one hand, and educational outcomes on the other. Cooperation between universities and community institutions remains one of the primary means to align education with development needs and global transformations around us.

Admission & Registration Requirements
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the required specialization with a grade not less than "Good".
- Pass the admission exams and personal interview (if any) decided by the competent department.
- Provide the required documents in accordance with the regulations of the University's Postgraduate Studies Administration.
