Faculty of Engineering

Excellence in Engineering Innovation, Technological Design, and Building the Future

About

The Faculty of Engineering was established in 2004 as one of the faculties of the University of 7 October, in response to the growing need for qualified engineering professionals capable of contributing to national development and serving the community. Since its establishment, the Faculty has been committed to providing a distinguished academic environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application while keeping pace with the latest scientific and technological advancements across various engineering disciplines. In 2012, the Faculty became part of Al-Zaytoonah University, where it continued its academic journey and witnessed further development in its educational programs, scientific activities, and institutional capabilities. During this period, the Faculty strengthened its teaching, research, and community service functions. At the end of 2016, following the issuance of the ministerial decision establishing Bani Waleed University, the Faculty of Engineering became one of its constituent faculties, marking the beginning of a new phase of institutional and academic development. Since then, the Faculty has been dedicated to fulfilling its mission of preparing highly qualified engineers equipped with sound scientific knowledge, professional skills, and ethical values, enabling them to compete effectively in the labor market and contribute to sustainable development at both the local and national levels. The Faculty is committed to continuously developing its academic programs in accordance with quality assurance and accreditation standards, promoting scientific research and innovation, and strengthening partnerships with academic and industrial institutions. Through these efforts, it aims to graduate competent engineers who are capable of addressing contemporary engineering challenges and meeting the evolving needs of society and the labor market.

Dean\'s Message

Praise be to God, who taught through the pen and taught mankind what it did not know, and may peace and blessings be upon the best teacher humanity has ever known—our example and role model in this world, our Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and may He bless his family and companions. Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering at Bani Waleed University. This faculty, which was established in 2004 by a decision of the (former) People’s Committee for Services, has earned a strong academic reputation within the university. This has enabled its graduates to secure employment in various institutions both inside and outside Libya and to successfully pursue their graduate studies and scientific research at local and international universities. I am delighted to be part of a team whose members—students, staff, and faculty—all work together within this educational system at the college. Together, they form a team whose ultimate goal is to contribute to raising educational and professional standards and to provide society with qualified scientific talent that helps shape the future and build Libya with sincerity and dedication. We take pride in our students and their achievements, and we spare no effort in providing guidance and support to ensure their success in both their personal and professional lives.
