Languages Center

About the Center

The Center was established by decrees issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the President of Bani Waleed University as the "Languages Center at Bani Waleed University". It is tasked with teaching living languages—primarily Arabic for native and non-native speakers, as well as English and French as needed. The Center also offers translation services and comprehensive educational or training programs, exercising its administrative and financial responsibilities under university supervision.

Vision

By placing quality as the foundation across all activities and defining standards of excellence in education and curricula, the Center aims to become one of the leading regional centers in teaching English and other living languages locally and regionally.

Mission

• Preparing trained cadres proficient in living languages through an integrated scientific methodology utilizing modern training techniques and curricula.

• Developing learners' proficiency across all levels to become fluent in English (as a second language) or foreign languages.

• Delivering highly professional educational courses for university learners and interested individuals or public entities.

Center Objectives

Providing high-quality language education in living languages (Arabic for non-native speakers, English, etc.) to qualify students academically and professionally while fostering communication and critical thinking.
Enhancing the language proficiency of faculty students through specialized training programs, specifically conducting academic English courses inside the Center.
Contributing to raising linguistic competence among community youth across various sectors to assist them in competing in the labor market.
Preparing, supervising, and coordinating international English language courses and accredited examinations.
Conducting general and specialized courses in English and other foreign languages.
Organizing specialized Arabic language courses for non-native speakers.
Organizing seminars and workshops in language instruction and linguistics.
Executing agreements signed with institutions aimed at improving language capabilities for faculty members and teaching assistants nominated for study abroad or domestically.
Providing expert consultancies and professional services in teaching and translation.
Organizing preparatory and reinforcement courses in foreign language curricula across various educational stages.
Delivering high-quality education and training and administering tests for internationally recognized certificates.

Offered Courses & Training Programs

In addition to the above, the Center offers the following courses aimed at meeting learners' needs across all levels, including morning and evening sessions taught by highly qualified academic staff using modern training materials:

Specialized English Courses: Designed for university students, employees, and managers of companies and public/private institutions.
General Courses: Open courses for all community individuals in the region.
International Exam Preparation Courses: Includes accredited international exams: (TOEFL - KET - PET - IELTS).
