About the Administration

The Postgraduate Studies Administration is responsible for preparing and implementing postgraduate study plans at the university for faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff. It is also responsible for taking necessary measures regarding the dispatch of faculty members, teaching assistants, and staff members of the university abroad for postgraduate studies, exercising its full powers and responsibilities.

Mission

The Postgraduate Studies, Teaching Assistants, and Training Administration seeks to prepare qualified academic and research cadres who contribute to the development of scientific knowledge and innovation by providing an outstanding educational and research environment. The Administration is also committed to encouraging lifelong learning and meeting the needs of society and the labor market in accordance with approved academic standards.

Objectives

Developing postgraduate programs, introducing advanced academic programs that meet community needs and keep pace with scientific developments, and improving the quality of academic and research programs in line with national and international standards.
Encouraging faculty members and postgraduate students to conduct innovative scientific research, and supporting scientific publishing in peer-reviewed journals locally and internationally.
Organizing scientific conferences and symposia that enhance the university's role in scientific research.
Qualifying and training academic and administrative cadres by providing specialized training programs for faculty members and administrative staff to develop their skills.
Preparing workshops and continuous courses to develop professional performance and improve educational outcomes.
Encouraging academic cooperation and partnerships with local and international universities and research centers.
Concluding agreements with research and academic institutions to exchange expertise and enhance scientific capabilities.
Improving postgraduate infrastructure, developing scientific research facilities, and providing the necessary tools and resources.

Organizational Structure of Postgraduate Studies Administration

Postgraduate Studies Office

Responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and categorizing nominations from various university departments for postgraduate studies locally and abroad.
  • Identifying and enumerating postgraduate fields at the university and the number of students enrolled in its programs.
  • Participating in conducting necessary research and studies to determine the feasibility of establishing new postgraduate specialties and developing existing ones.
  • Preparing plans and programs for local postgraduate studies and supervising their implementation.
  • Preparing the budget proposal required for executing local postgraduate program plans and managing its approval and implementation.
  • Receiving, studying, and analyzing follow-up and implementation reports for local postgraduate programs, taking necessary actions to overcome execution difficulties and obstacles.
  • Examining and studying requests to extend local study periods and proposing necessary procedures.
  • Preparing periodic and annual reports on the office's activities.

Scholarships Office

Responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and categorizing nominations from various university departments for studying in postgraduate studies locally and abroad.
  • Preparing plans and programs for studying abroad, handling their approval procedures, and coordinating with competent authorities.
  • Coordinating with competent authorities regarding dispatched students studying abroad.
  • Preparing periodic and annual reports on the office's activities.

Training Office

Responsibilities include:
  • Contributing to drafting training plan projects and programs intended for implementation by the university.
  • Participating in setting schedules for executing the annual plan in coordination with relevant organizational units at the university.
  • Aggregating nominations received from university divisions and faculties and classifying them into training programs.
  • Preparing periodic and annual reports on the office's activities.
  • Implementing programs included in the university and college plans.

Teaching Assistants Office

Responsibilities include:
  • Following up and organizing all affairs related to teaching assistants at the university.
